At Brady's we take pride in all the products we sell, especially our beef. Every primal cut we sell is aged for at least 28 days for optimal flavour and tenderness.

Brands we sell

We are proud to be an authorized retailer of Certified Angus Beef! Certified Angus Beef is the best of the best AAA-grade beef, specifically chosen for it's marbling, texture, size, appearance, and tenderness.

Florence Meats in Oakville, Ontario specializes in South African cuts which are hard to find elsewhere.

Norpac beef, processed in Norwich, Ontario (a small town about 15 minutes south of Woodstock), is free from antibiotics, growth hormones and the animals have a 100% vegetarian diet and low-stress living conditions, so the meat is tender, lean and high-quality. All of the cattle come from and are raised on small, family-owned Ontario farms.

Prince Edward Island Certified Beef comes to us fresh each week from family farms in Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island. The cattle at the P.E.I. Certified Beef farms are raised in a traditional way, eating a natural diet of grass, clover silage, hay, and potatoes (P.E.I. is famous for it's potatoes). As a result, the beef is very rich in flavour and is well-marbled.

Brady's is proud to be one of the first butcher shops in Canada to sell Certified Island Beef!

Kobe (Wagyū) beef

By popular demand, Brady's now sells natural Wagyū beef! The breeds of cattle that produce Wagyū beef are specially chosen for the marbling of the meat, which produces a unique taste discovered in Japan long ago (Wagyū, or 和牛, literally means "Japanese cow"). The most well-known of the Wagyū breeds is Kobe, which has become synonymous with Wagyū in the West.

We regularly stock Australian Wagyū beef every week, in the following cuts:

  • Wagyū Picanha,
  • Wagyū Tri-tp,
  • Wagyū Top sirloin (Roast Biff),
  • Wagyū Striploins,
  • Wagyū Ribeyes,
  • Wagyū Tomahawks, and,
  • Wagyū hot dogs.

We can also order Wagyū A5 from Japan.

Natural Beef

Natural beef is completely free from growth hormones and anti-biotics. We are proud to carry the product line from Atlantic Signature Beef from P.E.I. and Norpac Beef from Norwich, Ontario. We have all the cuts available fresh weekly.

Argentinian beef

We occasionally stock grass-fed striploins, ribeyes, and picanha fresh from Argentina. Call ahead to check availability!

Baseball Steak

Try our now-famous steak! Baseball steaks are made from the centre cut of the Certified Angus top sirloin steak; aged for over 28 days for maximum tenderness. They're available in 6oz, 8oz, and 12oz sizes.

Biltong

Biltong is a South African variety of seasoned, air-dried beef; similar to beef jerky. We carry both whole and shredded biltong from Florence Meats of Oakville.

Boerewors

Boerewors is a South African beef sausage with special spices. We occasionally make our own fresh boerewors, but always carry frozen boerewors from Florence Meats of Oakville.

Burgers

At Brady's, we believe the bread should be around the burger, not in it! We offer burgers made from PEI Grass-Fed beef or Ontario beef. We regularly have all of the following varieties:

  1. Brisket burgers,
  2. Chuck burgers,
  3. Sirloin burgers,
  4. Bacon and cheddar burgers,
  5. Jalapeno and cheddar burgers,
  6. Dry-aged burgers, and,
  7. Extra-lean grass-fed burgers.

Dry-Aged Beef

Call about our very own dry-aged beef. It's not always available, but when it is, it sure is worth the wait!

Most beef that you get in the supermarket has not been aged at all. But, chefs and foodies know that aged beef tastes much better — it has more flavour and melts in your mouth. A newer technique for aging beef, called wet-aging, involves vacuum-sealing the meat. The traditional way of aging beef, however, is to hang it until it is cut (dry-aging).

Rob's Famous Marinated Top Sirloin

The original Brady's steak — tender Certified Angus top sirloin, lightly coated in our black-pepper marinade. You can cook it in the oven, but it's best on the barbecue!

Our specialty cuts

Picanha

This is a cut popular in Brazil and South America (and now in Waterloo!). Picanha is also known as a sirloin cap or coulotte. Over 20 years ago, many Canadian consumers didn't know the term picanha; but it became popular when a Brazilian customer of ours requested some!

Tomahawk steaks

Tomahawk steaks are also known as long, bone-in ribeyes. They are great for entertaining!

Coffee

Brady's carries a large assortment of coffees from many different brands. Our main supplier is Eco Cafe in St Jacobs: they roast whole beans for us. We also bring in ground coffee from Crank Coffee Company, branded by the Neal Brothers. We also offer some imported coffees from Europe.

Eggs

We regularly stock both regular and free-range eggs. We are proud to work directly with the farmer, who delivers them to us fresh every Thursday after having them graded and packaged by localEGG Limited in Wellesley Ontario.

Brady's sells many canned vegetables, including pickles, sauerkraut, cabbage, asparagus, and tomatoes. 

During the summer, and when in season, we also sell fresh, local Ontario vegetables from Don's Produce in Petersburg, Ontario; delivered daily for your convenience! We prefer to buy from local suppliers as much as possible!

Our most-popular products are:

Brands we sell

We buy our whole turkeys from Scotch Line Turkey Company in Elmira Ontario. Scotch Line is a family-owned and operated turkey farm which specializes in fresh, natural, drug-free turkeys that have been well-cared-for.

Whole Turkey

People come from miles around year after year to purchase our fresh, drug-free turkeys! 

During the holidays, we only buy a limited number from our farmer, so you must pre-order them! Most people pick up their turkeys the two days before Easter, Thanksgiving (both Canadian and American), and Christmas.

As the weather cools, we introduce our own bread stuffing, made in-house by our staff.

Turkey Breast and Turkey Rolls

Turkey breast and rolls (a deboned whole or half turkey) are available year-round. We also prepare turkey rolls, skin-on and tied, and we can even stuff the turkey rolls for you any time! Just call ahead if you want a certain size.

Turkey schnitzel

We prepare lightly-breaded turkey breast schnitzel - we make it fresh and freeze it right away. Available year-round.

Turkey kabobs

Succulent turkey kabobs are cut from the breast, and skewered and marinated with rosemary-herb or lemon-citrus. Perfect for barbecues! Real Canadians barbecue all year 'round.

Ground turkey

Our ground turkey is only from Scotch Line, so it's a much better quality. Available in our freezer section all year 'round.

Turducken

Turducken is a turkey, stuffed with a duck, stuffed with chicken. Turduckens are available upon request, and we offer two kinds: 

  • the original: a whole boneless turkey with duck breast and chicken breast inside, and your choice of stuffing mix, averaging 12-15 pounds, or,
  • the mini turducken: boneless turkey breast with duck breast and chicken breast, and your choice of stuffing mix, averaging around 5 pounds: perfect for smaller dinner parties!

Our chicken has always been naturally-raised, grain-fed, drug-free and well–cared-for.

Our most popular chicken cuts are:

  • Chicken fingers (regular, and gluten-free),

Brands we sell

Our regular chicken supplier is Voltigeurs Farm in Drummondville, Québec. In 1966, Voltigeurs adopted a rigorous process to define each step involved in producing vegetable grain-fed chicken with no animal by-products, and they take good care of their chickens.

Chicken Breast

Our boneless, skinless chicken breasts arrive fresh every week. They are grain-fed, air-chilled and drug-free. The chicken is available both plain and seasoned. We can season the chicken breasts for you with one of our many marinades with advance notice.

We sometimes order bone–in, skin–on chicken breasts too. Call ahead to make sure we have some!

Flattened Chickens

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to Brady's of course! Try our new semi-boneless "flattened" chickens! We take out all the bones out except the drum and wings — the chicken is left intact with the skin on. Flattened chickens are perfect for about 4 people.

Cooking time is really short — we recommend about 45 minutes in a 350˚F (176˚C) oven or barbecuing them with indirect heat for the best flavour. Of course, carving the cooked bird has never been easier!

We sell flattened chickens plain or marinated. Our marinades include:

  • Black Garlic,
  • Citrus and Lemon,
  • Mango Chili,
  • Mediterranean,
  • Mustard and Honey,
  • Rosemary Herb,
  • Smoky Alabama,
  • Smoked Jalapeño and Tequila,
  • Wild Garlic, and,
  • several other flavours.

Brady's Own Chicken Sausage

We make and freeze three varieties of chicken sausage in-house: Spinach and Feta, Garlic, and Farmers (i.e.: Salt and Pepper). All our chicken sausages are gluten-free, and have no fillers.

Brady's Own Chicken Bacon Rolls

We also make Chicken Bacon Rolls: ground chicken seasoned with garlic, and wrapped in fresh pork belly or beef steak. Cook our Chicken Bacon Rolls like any other sausage: on the barbecue, or browned on the stove and finished in the oven.

At Brady's, we bring in many quality meat, deli and grocery products from all over the world. Unlike some of the larger stores, we also know all of the food we sell: we sample each product line before we sell it to ensure quality, and we don't sell things we wouldn't eat ourselves.

We also try to buy locally-farmed products when we can, and we seek out suppliers who treat their animals with care and respect.

Rob's Famous Lamb Sirloins

Our lamb sirloins are by far our most popular item! We have them available plain, but we highly recommend trying our marinated lamb sirloins, which have been prepared with Brady's Own Mint and Rosemary seasoning!

I just wanted to say how grateful we are that you take the time to do so many little things that make us feel as though you are truly our butcher. We would never even think of buying our meat anywhere else but from you. The fact that we have a 30-minute drive to get to your store is of no consequence to us because you provide everything we want from a butcher or any shop keeper for that matter and that is: excellent product and the type of unsurpassed throw back service we crave, service whereby you make us happy to spend our money. Tim Rector

Located at the corner of Phillip and Albert streets in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; Brady’s Meat & Deli is proud to have served our community with quality local meats, friendly service and more since 1999.

The owner, founder, and head butcher, Rob Brady, grew up in the small town of Corby, Northamptonshire, England. He knew he wanted to be a butcher at age 14, and, when he was done school, he apprenticed for 3 years at Dewhurst, the largest butcher chain in the UK. As a journeyman, he worked for various stores, from small, family-run butchers to large grocery chains, both in England and Waterloo Region.

After immigrating to Canada, Rob worked for The Veal Shoppe, a butcher shop that sold food at many of the local markets in Southern Ontario. Always dreaming of owning his own shop, Rob approached Herb Benkner, the retiring owner of Benkner's Sausage and Meats, and worked closely with Herb to learn his techniques and the preferences of his customers.

In 1999, after owning the store for a year, Rob changed the name to Brady's Meat & Deli, to give the new business it's own identity. Brady's continued to sell meat as The Veal Shoppe in the main building of the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market until the market building burned down in September 2013.

Brady's is proud to be family owned and operated, Canadian, and committed to quality meats and good service. We try to support our community though our charity work and buying locally-farmed products when we can.
